In this roundup, we will take a closer look at the key changes that have taken place across Astral ARK this month.
Optimised Restart Schedule
At Astral Imperium, we always strive to provide a smooth gaming experience for our players. This includes minimising gameplay disruption as much as possible. We are glad to share that we successfully optimised our server restart schedule for both PVE and PVP game modes. This adjustment now staggers restarts over approximately 30 minutes, a significant improvement down from nearly an hour. This 50% reduction in downtime ensures you have more time to play and enjoy the game!
In-Game Shop Changes
Rhyniognatha Pheromones have been added to the shop, as well as boss tributes on Fjordur maps to bring them in line with the rest of the cluster. We have permanently reduced prices on select items, including the TEK Skiff, TEK Hoversail, and specific Plant Species R seeds.
Steam Connection Issues
Lastly, we know that some players have been experiencing connection issues via Steam over the past month. We would like to highlight that these issues are not exclusive to Astral and are widespread across both official and unofficial servers. If you encounter the “Unable to connect to server, app id specified by server is invalid” when attempting to connect via direct join links, follow these steps:
- Use the in-game server browser instead, and search for “Astral ARK”
- If you can’t find the servers through a regular search, go to Steam > Settings > In Game and ensure that “Server browser pings/minute” is set to at least 1500
- You can also join via the “My Survivors” tab in-game, or add servers to your favourites directly via Steam
